Hilton Head Island | Getting Here & Getting Around

Whether you drive or fly, Hilton Head Island is a convenient destination. For those traveling by car, taxi or limo, U.S. Highway 278 Business is the main route to and from the island. This route will take you across the bridge, and then all the way down to the island's south end. Mile markers are located on the island along the highway to give you an idea of where you are. Many of the intersections here are traffic circles, so be prepared to yield and follow the road signs.
For those traveling by air, there are two main airports: Savannah International Airport and Hilton Head Airport. The Savannah Airport is a small, easily navigated regional airport, and has a fleet of rental cars readily available. Follow the signs out of the airport to Interstate 95, and then head north you get to Exit 8, which is U.S. Highway 278 East to Hilton Head Island. It's a quick and scenic 35-minute drive. Hilton Head Island's airport is, of course, located right on the island, just two miles off of U.S. Highway 278. Rental cars are available here as well.
If you are checking in at the Pope Avenue office, you will take U.S. Highway 278 East until you get to Pope Avenue. Stay in the left lane through the traffic circle, and then turn left at the first traffic light. Approximately 200 feet before the second traffic light, make a left-hand turn at Pope Avenue Executive Park Road. The ResortQuest Office is located on the corner of Pope Avenue and Executive Park Road. This is directly across the street from St. Luke's Episcopal Church located on Pope Ave.

Once you're here, getting around is easy. While your car can take you nearly anywhere on the island, many vacationers opt for a bicycle. Thanks to the many miles of paved bicycle paths and lots of bicycle rental shops, a bike ride is as safe and convenient as it is exhilarating. ResortQuest's properties tend to be in remarkably convenient locations that allow guests to walk to the beach, community pool, or restaurants.
